Taking a Look at Saving Mr Banks

Hi I am Sunni we're going to take at look today at :  Saving Mr. Banks

Saving Mr. Banks is an upcoming biography film about the production of Mary Poppins, and Mr. Disney’s quest to persuade P.L. Travers to obtain screenplay rights to her classic book.  Starring Emma Thompson as P. L. Travers, the uncompromising writer of Mary Poppins, and Tom Hanks as  An American Treasure Walt Disney.

The plot of this movie is that Walt promises his daughters that one day he’ll make a movie of their favorite book. However, Travers, not wanting her book to be mauled by the Hollywood machine, says no to Mr. Disney about making her book into a screenplay.
But soon her books stop selling, and money comes short, so reluctantly Travers agrees to Walt making Mary Poppins come to be. But she holds a tight grip on how she wants things to go, and soon she becomes almost intolerable, and Mr. Disney watches as the rights to the movie start slipping through his fingers.
Until he discovers that Mary Poppins was actually a very important person in Travers’ life as a child, and Mr. Banks was actually inspired by Travers’ father. It is only when he reaches into his own childhood that Walt discovers the truth about the ghosts that haunt her, and together they set Mary Poppins free to make one of the greatest movies in all of cinema.
Personally, it looks like a really great movie. I’m really glad they picked someone to be Mr. Disney that actually LOOKS and ACTS the part, and Tom Hanks is a great casting choice.
Emma Thompson, is a award winning British actress is a wonderful choice for the author.
Release date is Dec 20th 2013 so excited it will be an early Christmas present for us all.

this has been Sunni with your first look at Saving Mr. Banks, i'll keep you posted on any new and exciting things coming from Disney Pictures!

See ya real soon!

I liked my Disney Coffee

As I finish my second cup of coffee today, I wanted to mention how I really feel about having Starbucks on Disney Property. It's not that I don't like Starbucks , I actually really like going to Starbucks.  Meeting up with friends enjoying time with my girls there is great. But going to Starbucks at Disneyland or Walt Disney World is just wrong. From the time I can remember whether it was my parents getting coffee on Main Street or my husband and I, its been Disney Brewed Coffee in a Disney Styrofoam cup. Whatever brand they used I was happy with. It tasted good wasn't too strong ,inexpensive and I could always get a free refill as long as I still kept my Disney Styrofoam cup (later it went to paper) .
Was there such a huge cry for a commercially high priced coffee? Or was there a need to keep taking away bits and pieces of Disney memories? First the Carnation Plaza where my parents used to dance, where I bought my first root beer float at 9, and now simple coffee! (Sorry, still upset about the Carnation Plaza closing).

Bringing the outside world into our Disney Parks is way too far. I know that I'm not alone in this and this subject has been blogged over and over. But the moment it opened in Epcot I had to speak my mind. So as we stroll through our Disney Parks we now see the Starbucks signs, and its a bit disappointing.
Just a note to Disney, STOP.
We love you as you are. We don't want to be part of everything! We love all the improvements and all the enhancements in the Parks. So please stop with Starbucks, don't even think about bringing in Subway, or Cold stone Creamery's.

Special thanks to www.disneyfoodblog.com for the Starbucks photo

Pixie Hollow Closing

Hello everyone this weekend I was sent an email regarding my kids Disneys Fairies Pixie Hollow online game closing. I had to re-read "Closing Pixie Hollow" ! To say my girls are disappointed is an understatement ! My kids love this game they played it every few days ( after homework of course ). This is the only truly girl game for Disney Interactive online! They have decided to close the Pirates of the Caribbean Online and the Old Toontown online game too. Disney Interactive wants to focus on their game Penguins Club.
Really Penguins Club my girls and their friends think it is for really very silly game and its really just for small kids and so they are not playing it, they said its boring. My kids and their friends ages range from 8 to teens, I wonder if Disney Interactive really did their homework before pulling the plug !
Well, now everyone can play the Pixie Hollow game for free until Sept 19. So everyone have your kids or yourself play for free until its gone.

A New Day

Hello  Everyone,
I created this blog to write about the one thing that makes my entire family and me so happy. That is Disney,  every part of it. I wanted a place that other families can go to and just share in the love of Disney. A place where you and tell us about your favorite Disney trips, share new products and anything Disney you'd like to tell us.  Show off your favorite treasure you've collected , anything you would like to share. Here I will share news about the Disney or just share new Disney family adventures.
So I would like to introduce myself my name is Bebe, I' m a mom of two beautiful creative thinking girls. My husband and I have been married this year 18 years, and I am proud to say his first trip to Disneyland was on a date with ME !! Still so proud of that. My girls are named after princesses and I even had my first car had personal plates " Mr Micky". Yes you can say I really love Disney. Once upon a time I worked for Disney too, I was a loyal cast-member for over 10 yrs. We now live on a island that has a beautiful Disney Resort that is the Aulani , yes I live in Hawaii.
My Disney collection is very eclectic , cels , ceramic pieces and many things I collected from the parks.
So you now I will take you back to how I become this Disney Fanatic .
Every summer my mom and dad took all of us kids (6) on a two week vacation. One week was always camping either Yosemite National Park , Lake Tahoe Emerald Bay in Nevada or the Redwood National Park in Northern California. That was so much fun to camp, and have our crazy kid adventurers. Mostly getting lost for a period time in which we really weren't lost and hiking with our dad he just loved taking us up these crazy trails in Yosemite.
So I told you all that our first week was always camping but the second week was always Disneyland. Oh my goodness sometimes our heads were full of all the amazing things would do at Disneyland all year. My parents took us to every Disney movie they were just as excited as us to see a Disney Movie. So going for a week was the ultimate sugar high for any kid. Everyday in Anaheim was a dream, breakfast either in or out of the park and our day started. My dad and mom always took us on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride first. To this day we do the same with my kids too. We stayed all day never leaving to go back to our room but sticking it out in the Park. When we got in our teens that changed , we realized our hand stamped stayed even after swimming in the pool !  My parents loved staying until Disneyland was officially closed , it was that crazy rush out of the park like cattle . Those were amazing priceless days with all of my family , we were not rich but my parents saved all year for those vacations.
Walt said it perfectly  " It all Started with a Mouse", for us that's exactly how it started along with alot of love for family.
